InfiniBandSM Trade Association Announces Three Additional Sponsoring Members
PORTLAND, November 30, 2000 - The InfiniBand Trade Association (IBTA) today announced that Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A), Brocade Communications Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: BRCD) and EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) have been elected as Sponsoring Members of the Trade Association. These three companies join current Sponsoring Member companies: 3Com, Adaptec, Cisco Systems, Fujitsu-Siemens, Hitachi, Lucent Technologies, NEC and Nortel Networks.

All three companies have long been innovators in Enterprise technology. Agilent Technologies, an early promoter of InfiniBand Technology, debuted a prototype InfiniBand-to-Fibre Channel Router in August of this year. The announcement of the three new Sponsoring Members follows the recent launch of the InfiniBand 1.0 specification at the Trade Association's most recent conference attended by over 650 developers.
The InfiniBand Trade Association's Steering Committee is responsible for the election of Sponsoring Members. The seven Steering Committee companies are Compaq, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems.
Started in August 1999, the InfiniBand Trade Association is made up of over 200 companies from every segment of the industry. On October 24, the Trade Association announced the finalization of the InfiniBand Architecture1.0 specification. This specification is publicly available for purchase and download from the Trade Association Website: www.infinibandta.org. The InfiniBand Trade Association is comprised of eight special workgroups, each with its own charter and area of expertise. The workgroups include: Marketing, Technical, Applications, Compliance and Interoperability, ElectroMechanical, Link, Management, and Software.
